About this event

The interactions between identity, portraiture, and the impact of technology on society have been investigated by artists Anthony Aziz (USA ,1961) and Sammy Cucher (Peru, 1958) for three decades. They became partners in art and life after meeting at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1990.

On the occasion of the publication Aziz + Cucher: XXX, a 30-year retrospective of their work, the artists will engage in a wide-ranging, public conversation with Richard Meyer, Robert and Ruth Halperin Professor of Art History.

Aziz + Cucher's work has been widely exhibited internationally, and their work is in important museums and collections worldwide. They are both in the Fine Arts Faculty at Parsons School of Design in New York.

Event is free and all are welcome, but seating is limited.

Co-sponsored by the Cantor Arts Center, and the Stanford Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program.
